History

Cavalier was a favorite pet among ladies of the Tudor court in the time of Elizabeth I. Popular in Europe for centuries, the breed was finally adopted by AKC (American Kennel Club) in 1996.
A Cavalier is affectionate, playful, intelligent and friendly, rarely showing jealousy or possessiveness over food or toys. Its non-aggressive temperament makes him an excellent and adaptable companion for many different homes and lifestyles.
Cavalier loves people of all ages and gets along with everybody including other dogs and pets.

Cavaliers seem to thoroughly enjoy the company of other dogs. Many like to keep a couple of Cavaliers as pets, as they make for happy companionship and are so easy to take care of.
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is, in its loving heart, a Spaniel, but it needs far less space than its larger cousins.
True elegance, a sweet melting expression, and an attractive easy to manage coat makes a Cavalier one of the most sought after toy dogs.
